Fifteen English speakers met enthusiastically for the first time at the launch of a new branch of ESRA in Bat Yam.

ESRA Herzliya concentrates on regular monthly activities, has many people volunteering in local ventures and supports local projects both financially and with volunteer help.

Adele, a former chairperson of ESRA, and Mike Rubin were excellent hosts and guides for an ESRA group who recently visited Sderot where they now live. The history of the city was explained and its highlights were visited. The many public areas were impressive, especially the huge indoor play center. A short film of a rocket attack was shown.

Yonit Gurfinkel thanks Ingrid Gvili for her five years of service at ESRA’s head office in Herzliya. She also welcomes Nanci Schwartz to the ESRA family.

Chanukah was celebrated in Rishon LeZion at the home of Janet Kiesari. Delicious food was provided by the local committee, those attending were entertained by a film and games, and new guests were introduced.
