FROM THE EDITOR
“It is a shame to waste even one drop” is a slogan many of us have been using constantly in our individual efforts to save Israel’s precious water. Our cover photo is a gentle reminder to us all as is our article on ways of saving water. Our digital world is mind-boggling and is brought into focus in “QTL – School for Digital Kids”. Also on children you can easily be a birthday angel and if you are pregnant you will find it helpful to read about Doulas birth. More...
Revealing our roots, where we come from and who we are, is meaningful to us all and “My Journey to Batyu” takes us through one man’s journey to discover his ancestors. “The Round Stones of Jericho” uncovers our ancestors’ life and “Holocaust & Holocaust Denial” make us confront once again these dangers. This issue brings us two stories of immigrant families, one on a rude rejection by a kibbutz in the 1950’s, and the other, settling in Tel Aviv in the early 60’s. It features other people too, nonagenarians and centenarians, a Guinness award winner and exceptional volunteers. If you too are looking to volunteer, read the articles on Ramat Hanadiv, helping the blind in Tel Aviv, loss counseling. If you suffer from migraines or back problems or if your children have problems, you might find it helpful to read “Osteopathy for Migraines”, “Listen to your Back” and “Schneider Children’s Medical Center”. And on the other side of the scale, for enrichment, education, fun and leisure, there are also articles on arts, music, food/wine and for traveling and exploring museums, zoos/parks and travel. Close
