Ilan Shachar

Born in UK 1940, BSc from University of London, career in real estate until he came to live in Israel in 1975. In Israel he was employed by Prime Minister’s Office until 1997, has B.A. and M.A. degrees from Tel Aviv University, and is currently managing archaeological excavations and private house-building projects, volunteers as an English tutor, is a member of the editorial board of Israel Numismatic Research, and has articles published in Palestine Exploration Quarterly, Mediterranean Historical Review, Israel Numismatic Research and other publications. He lives in Herzliya, married plus two.
